As a much loved hotel in the Guernsey countryside, we are deeply connected to our surroundings. That means making thoughtful choices that are better for the island, the planet and generations to come.
We do not follow trends. We take meaningful steps, guided by long term values and a sense of responsibility. We believe that sustainable travel should feel good, not only for the earth, but for the people who stay with us. No guilt. No greenwashing. Honest efforts, made with heart.
What We Are Doing Behind the Scenes
We focus on sourcing food, drinks and materials from Guernsey suppliers. This reduces transport impact and supports the local economy.
We compost kitchen waste, reduce disposables in guest rooms and continue working toward a low waste environment.
We use LED lighting, smart heating systems and ongoing improvements to lower our energy use without reducing comfort.
We serve our own filtered water through an on site system. There is no need for transported plastic or glass bottles.
Housekeeping uses eco certified products and laundry is processed with energy and water saving systems.
Bathroom toiletries are provided in refillable containers instead of individual plastic bottles.

We are always learning, always improving. We may not get everything right, but we are proud to welcome guests who value thoughtful travel and responsible hospitality.
